The small island of San Salvador in the Bahamas, just 360 miles southeast of Miami, is undisputedly one of the premier scuba diving and fishing Mecca's of the world. Perched on a pinnacle and washed by warm breezes and clear azure waters, San Salvador is also home to Riding Rock Resort and Marina.Riding Rock Resort and Marina was built, custom designed for dive travelers and anglers alike. This property attracts divers from around the world who come to experience the quality and diversity of diving and fishing for which San Salvador is legendary!

Life on San Salvador is pretty much as unhurried as it has been through the ages. Quiet, friendly, and unspoiled, our Bahamas dive resort offers miles of deserted beaches and lush underwater reefs that were “discovered” by scuba divers as early as the 1960’s. Shortly thereafter, Riding Rock Resort & Marina was built, custom designed for dive travelers, with all of the diving facilities close at hand.
A typical dive day begins with breakfast, followed by a 5 minute walk to the marina. Your dive gear will be waiting on the boat, rinsed and ready for the day’s dives. The dock is roomy, with bathrooms and the dive shop just steps from the boat. You’ll find fresh water rinse tanks and hangers for wetsuits, as well as information about the week’s dives posted outside the shop.
Almost every dive is within a 10-20 minute boat ride, yet each dive site is completely unique. Your diving experience will be relaxed and un-rushed. You’ll have plenty of time to get your weighting right, or organize underwater camera gear. Once in the water, you’ll be able to dive to your own interests and experience level.
Divers can expect encounters with turtles, sharks and pelagic marine life at any depth!

***This trip pricing is based on two divers sharing a room. You are welcome to sign up individually; however, if a roommate is not confirmed prior to the trip, the remaining room balance will become your responsibility. Dive Georgia will do our best to help match solo travelers with compatible roommates, and we’ve typically had good success coordinating room pairings through our diver community and social channels.
Please note that refunds or credits cannot be provided if a roommate is not secured.
